Miss Princess and I spent all day yesterday at Master Sporty’s school athletics carnival. He brought home a nice haul of ribbons placing first in high jump (that still cracks me up because he’s one of the shortest in his age group!), 2nd in long jump (his ribbon grabbing jump is above) and then making it into the 100m sprint finals and then getting a 2nd place ribbon in the relay race.
Not bad for a day on the field.
This is my favourite photo from the day, mainly because despite the big jump he did I was totally oblivious that he actually won a place, and secondly because it’s one of the few photo’s from the day that doesn’t show the other children’s faces…so I can actually publish it to my blog. Score.

CONGRATS
(And now the rest of the comment I was trying to type!)
CONGRATS to Mr Sporty!!! Living up to his blog name…
BB
Thanks BB will pass that along!
Congrats Master Sporty Way to Go!
I was wondering about the blue hats are they part of their school uniforms? I noticed Bush Babe’s kids had the same type. They are very cute.
Hi Margie, yes the hats are part of the uniform. I think all or at least most schools in Queensland use what we call ‘bucket’ hats. All schools here have a pretty strict ‘no hat, no play’ policy.
